10 - Send Agreements Using Zoho Writer

Zoho Writer is an online word processor that allows you to create and share documents online. You can create mail merge templates in Zoho Writer and use CRM data (Leads, Accounts, Contacts and Potentials) to create mail merge documents.

Please see below screenshots of how to create the mail merge documents using Zoho CRM.

You can see a deal record below in stage as Identification. The next stage is to get the Agreement signed. Hence we need to send the agreement for becoming a member in a NFP organization so the agreement needs to be signed off. Please see below steps to send the agreement out.


Step 1: Go to your deals module and click on the Send for Sign button on the right corner of your module as show in the screenshot.




Step 2: Now you’re trying to send the agreement document via Zoho sign to get it digitally signed. For this we need to have Zoho signed installed which is already one of the packages in your  Zoho One.






Step 3: Now the dialogue box opens up which shows the list of template folders. Now you can click Mail merge templates to see the templates that we have in your folder. 

In the below screenshot, you can see the list of templates I have in my folder and I can select one of it and click “Next”






In the above screenshot you can see that we have reached the Zoho Sign application where you can see the contact that we are going to send the agreement to. You can also add some more contacts in “Add recipients” and send them a copy. 


Step 4: Now you can click on Continue to reach the documents that provide us all the data mail merge from Zoho CRM. In the below screenshot you can see the names and address fields automatically populated from Zoho CRM so you can just add the signature fields and send it out. 



Now you can click on “Send” so your document will be sent to the contact for signature. You can also send reminders using Zoho sign settings. Once the contact signs the agreement then you receive an email with the signed document attached. You can also see the document attached in the contacts and deals module zoho sign document related list.
